Hog Roast Machine/OvenWe had it designed and built for us a few years ago by a fabrication company.
It measures approximately 1.85 wide (6ft 1ins) x 1.20m (4ft) deep x 1.06m (3ft 6ins) high. It uses standard 47 kg LPG bottles. It has castors but is heavy duty.
We have roasted two pigs at the same time and it will cook a variety of other items.
It is manufactured from stainless steel and has double burners with heat shields, one each side for even cooking.
It comes with two stainless steel wired roasting trays and two stainless steel presentation trays.
The roasting trays slide into the middle of the oven creating a kind of circotherm effect, also for perfect all over roasting.
The pig doesn’t sit in its own fat. The pig is roasted on the roasting tray and the fat drops down to the bottom and out through a drainage hole. Once cooked, the roasting trays drop into the presentation trays, so the pigs can be carried indoors or out, without dripping fat everywhere.
